3 Tips to Promote Movement While @ Work

In this day and age, we tend to live a very sedentary life - chained to our desks and endless Zoom calls. But there are small ways we can infuse a little more movement into our day to ensure we maintaining good posture, keep blood flowing, and let our muscles know we have not forgotten them. :-)

  1. Set an alarm every 20-30 minutes to change from sitting to standing and vice-versa.

    2. Go for a walk while on your lunch break. Fresh air and sunshine is great for your mental health as well  :) 

    3. Keep a small water bottle or cup at your desk. Every time it is emptied, leave your desk and take a trip to the water fountain to fill it up. Most people do not drink enough water throughout the day so this will address two items at once!

3 Movements Anyone Can Do @ Their Desk:

    1. Lumbar Controlled Articulations (CARS)
    2. Marching In Place
    3. Heel Raise → Squat Complex
