West Hartford Coworking Announces New Ownership with Eyes on Continued Growth

West Hartford Coworking • Apr 02, 2019

New Ownership Will Focus Membership and Services on Greater Hartford Start-Ups, Independent Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses Seeking Affordable Workspace.

April 1, 2019, West Hartford, Conn. - West Hartford Coworking Founder, John Vasellina, announced the purchase of one of Greater Hartford’s first coworking spaces to Bromleigh Ventures, LLC., a family-run investment firm helmed by West Hartford resident and entrepreneur, Annisa Teich and her mother, Annette Farese of Bradenton, Fla.

Ms. Teich is also the founder of The Small Business Collective and was contracted by West Hartford Coworking in September to manage and market the space. Since then, the small, independent space has more than doubled in membership even as area facilities like Upward Hartford and Spaces have come into the market.

“I founded West Hartford Coworking because I had the need for a space to work outside of my home while employed remotely for a San Francisco-based company,” says former Owner John Vasellina. “I quickly found there was no shortage of people just like me who liked the buzz and social interaction of a shared office setting.”

West Hartford Coworking currently offers flexible, month-to-month memberships that provide the use of desk and conference room space. Full-time membership is just $349 per month and includes a dedicated desk available 24/7, 5 hours of conference room time per month, unlimited copies and printing, and all the free coffee you can drink. Part-time membership starts at $159 per month and provides use of an unassigned “hot desk” during business hours, as well as conference room time, free printing, copies and coffee. The fully-connected conference room is also available outside of their monthly membership options at $40 per hour.

Currently occupying about 2000 square feet of space in West Hartford Center, the steady increase in membership has Bromleigh Ventures eyeing its next move. Ms. Teich, who will continue her role as Managing Director of the space has plans to grow both the business’ footprint as well as its service offering, seeing synergy between her other venture, The Small Business Collective , providing marketing and business development services for independent entrepreneurs, makers, start-ups and small businesses.

“With so much recent attention focused on technology, specifically in the insurance industry, we’re looking to drive additional focus toward main street to help support businesses that are not technology-focused, but can be technology-enabled,” say Ms. Teich, ”Providing a space to be productive, learn how to better manage and grow small businesses, and collaborate with others in the community is at the core of our vision.”
