W. Hartford Coworking biz changes hands

Joe Cooper - Hartford Business Journal • Apr 03, 2019

The founder of a West Hartford coworking business said he has sold his company to a local family owned investment firm.

John Vasellina, who launched West Hartford Coworking in Oct. 2017, completed the sale of the business, located on second-floor space at 967 Farmington Ave., on Saturday to Bromleigh Ventures LLC., which is owned by West Hartford resident and entrepreneur Annisa Teich and her mother, Annette Farese.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Teich will continue leading the coworking operation as managing director after being appointed to the post in September by Vasellina to manage and market the space. The space is currently operating at 90 percent capacity, occupied by six independent entrepreneurs and several other remote workers, she said. Membership packages are available for conference room space and full- and part-time work areas.

Teich also operates the The Small Business Collective, a low-cost marketing and business development firm serving independent entrepreneurs, makers, startups and small businesses, out of the 2,000-square-foot site.

"Providing a space to be productive, learn how to better manage and grow small businesses, and collaborate with others in the community is at the core of our vision," Teich said.

West Hartford Coworking is part of a growing office-sharing market in downtown West Hartford.
