Member News: Kate Roberts & Maggie Beattie-Roberts Launch "Beyond the Letters" Podcast
Series focuses on LGBTQ+ educators and their strategies for a more inclusive educational experience.
We love being a part of our members' professional journeys and look to support them in any way we can.
Local author and literacy consultant Maggie Beattie-Roberts has been a member for quite a while, quietly writing, strategizing, collaborating over calls, etc., in between traveling the country speaking and guest teaching with wife Kate Roberts, a fellow author and literacy consultant.
Both Kate and Maggie are well known and highly sought after in their space and after a few books under their belt they have branched out to a new Podcast series called Beyond the Letters
. This important series focuses on LGBTQ+ educators, their stories and how they work to create more inclusive classrooms for both queer youth and fellow educators. There is also an important thread for everyone about being a better ally for queer students and educators as we work together toward the betterment of and progress of our schools.
Also, they both have voices MADE for podcasting. It's a really educational, enjoyable, and important listen!
